This blog is written by John D’Anna, a long-suffering mainstream media editor based in Mesa, AZ, a.k.a. the city of wide streets and narrow minds. Before moving his blog to WordPress, D’Anna wrote an environmental blog for azcentral.com, where he frequently got into trouble for his exhaustive efforts to undermine the company’s offensive content filters. Now that he’s broken the shackles of corporate blogging, he has redoubled his efforts to analyze the key environmental issues of the day and reduce them to 8th-grade potty humor.

    Dear John,
Came across your site via the upcoming sustainability roundtable in Sedona. I know John Neville, Greg, and Mara as well. Wanted to give you a heads-up about our group, Environmental Fund for AZ, a collaboration of 29 environmental and conservation groups all across Arizona. Sort of like a ‘green’ United Way or a local version of EarthShare, we raise awareness and support for our groups primarily via workplace giving. But as you probably know, AZ is incredibly tough to crack. Dozens of companies, cities, and counties that have ‘gone green’ still say no to including a green choice at work – even if employees want it. I came on as their new executive director in June and have been working hard to put us more on the map this year.

I’d love to chat w/you sometime.
    All the best,
    Laine Seaton

  2. Do your family members have sore abdominal muscles from laughing all the time? Thanks for making me smile, guffaw and chortle, all for a good cause.
